Matthew Van Horn is Co-Founder of 3 Mile Domination Self-Storage Services, a full service self-storage operations company specializing in self-storage management, feasibility studies, and consulting for the self-storage industry. Matthew has over 18 years’ experience in the self-storage industry and is the Co-Author of the book Self-Storage Domination, Co-Host of the weekly self-storage podcast “3 Mile Domination”, and publisher of “Behind the Roll Up Door” a weekly newsletter dedicated to the self-storage industry.

Matthew began his self-storage career in 2000 with Cutting Edge Self Storage Management. In 2001 he became Cutting Edge’s first district manager. A short time later he was promoted to East Coast Regional Vice President, and then finally to Vice President of Operations. In 2004, Matthew became a partner in Cutting Edge Development and assisted in self-storage feasibility studies, development, and acquisitions throughout the United States. In December 2015, Matthew left Cutting Edge Self Storage Management and Cutting Edge Development to focus on 3 Mile Domination in full time capacity. Matthew regularly speaks, writes articles, and blogs for industry trade shows, publications, and websites. Matthew is a former board member and former President of the Florida Self Storage Association. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance,from Florida Atlantic University and is a Licensed Real Estate Consultant in the State of Florida.
